Professional Will Storage
The Wills Act for England & Wales requires you to physically store the signed Will, ready to be presented by your Executor to apply for Probate; a key legal step in executing your Will after you have passed away.
Your will is one of the most important documents you’ll ever create. Once signed and witnessed, it needs to be stored securely so it can be found quickly and easily when needed. If a will is lost, damaged, or accidentally destroyed, it may be impossible to prove your wishes — and that can cause delays, disputes, or even the wrong people inheriting.
Free Will Storage Service
To give you peace of mind, adeus offers optional free, secure will storage through our specialist partner IWC Estate Planning & Management. Your will is stored in a purpose-built, fireproof facility with 24/7 security. It’s protected from loss, theft, and accidental damage, and can be accessed only by the people you have authorised. When the time comes, your executor can retrieve your will quickly and with the confidence that it is the original, valid document.
