executors as key contacts

Your executor is the person or organisation that will distribute your estate and carry out the wishes you have recorded in your Will. Given their importance, we automatically store the contact details of your Executors from you will, but you can also add them as a Key Contact.

The key difference is we do not notify an Executor that they have been named as Executor in your Will. That is a personal decision, so we leave to you to decide if you advise them or not. For Key Contacts, we email them to let them know you've named them as a Key Contact, so they know they can contact us if they need, and we also provide them with access to adeus for their individual use.

Adding an Executor, who is also a loved one or close contact, is a good idea. But we've left that choice to you to decide what's best for you.
